Our strategy is to build with a compact design for a low center of gravity for maximum safety.
The weeds are compressed to put the weight toward the center of the boat. The engine and fuel tank are mounted low to the deck on the left side of the harvester while the driving console and hydraulic tank are mounted low to the deck on the right side of the harvester creating balance to the harvester. The smaller harvester requires less horsepower resulting in less momentum build-up of paddle wheels in motion so therefore we use hydraulic wheel motors to drive the paddle wheels. There is a slight but ample room to walk on the sides of the boat.
